EIU named as one of the top economic forecasters in 2021

We’re proud to announce that EIU has performed well in this year’s Annual Analyst Forecast Awards, attaining 38 first-place rankings, 40 second-place rankings and 42 third-place rankings.

These annual awards, hosted by FocusEconomics, recognise the most accurate economic forecasters for key macroeconomic indicators for 100 countries and 19 commodities.

Despite the challenges brought by the covid-19 pandemic and growing inflationary concerns, EIU continues to produce reliable economic forecasts, surpassing its competitors and attaining second place out of 350 institutions globally.

This award recognises another stellar year for our brilliant teams of analysts, who produce world-class forecasts in a highly challenging environment. I am especially proud to see that EIU’s analysts did superbly well across all regions and in all the categories of the award, be it forecasting economic growth, inflation, currencies movements, interest rates, fiscal accounts or trends in the external sector.
